Alternative Energy:

Solar power seems to be the most logical 'alternative energy' source. Why? Oh, I don't know, might have something to do with that part of the 24 hour cycle known as 'day.'

But the technology has been more difficult to harness than may be expected. Between the high cost of the technology and the relatively low energy output, solar power just hasn't given us enough bang for our buck.

Now, however, there appears to be a ray of sunshine in this otherwise gloomy field: holographic solar panels. This technology has real potential, as it could bring the cost of solar energy down enough to actually compete with conventional, fossil fuel-generated electricity.

I don't know about you, but it sounds like a bright idea.
